About Ali’s Hope
Helping Transition Patients with Mental Illness back into the Community
Ali’s Hope Foundation helps fund case workers that work with at-risk patients ages 18-25 as they leave the hospital to integrate back into the community. This is normally a point that there is no government or third party funding — until now…
Who is Ali?
Ali’s Hope Foundation was established in honor of Joseph and Helen Gallagher’s daughter, Alyson Grace, who suffered from a brain disorder called schizo-affective disorder, and took her own life on April 29, 2007.
The mission of Ali’s Hope Foundation is to assist young adults newly diagnosed with mental illness to learn to live in recovery, accept their diagnosis and have hope for their future. We support programs that help young adults receive support services such as counseling, case management, and medications evaluation and treatment that are not normally covered or paid for by government sources or insurance carriers. Hope is an integral part of our Ali’s Hope program. The intention of Ali’s Hope is to share Ali’s spirit of generosity and help raise the quality of life of individuals affected with mental illness through this effort.
Ali’s Hope is funded through proceeds from our annual charity golf tournament and generous donations. With the community’s support we can make this year’s event an even greater success and continue to foster HOPE in the lives of the young adults we serve.
