Hagerty High School in Seminole County, Florida is opening a safe space for students to gather and decompress, known as the Wellness Club. The temporary club will be open during both lunch periods, with the aim of eventually being available throughout the school day. Students will be able to socialize and meet new people, with the added benefit of providing support for mental health issues such as bullying and discrimination.

The club was inspired by Ali’s Hope and will include a podcast and other initiatives to provide students with mental health resources. Students can offer input on design or ideas to fit the needs of everyone.
